So, a lot of people know that Boschs last forever and can do a lot of things but did you know they can make AMAZING cookies?! I think out of all the myths out there, I’m pretty sure this is the most prevalent-that you can’t (or shouldn’t) make cookies in a Bosch. Now, this isn’t a dig on Kitchen Aids by any stretch of the imagination. It’s just to show you that you CAN use a Bosch to make cookies and A LOT of them. Actually, these cookies were very delicious and I was surprised at how well it worked and how many you can make. (Of course like the last video, make sure that you check to make sure that all of your ingredients are soft because the Bosch has great coverage.) So here is Bob from www.mykitchencenter.com showing us more about what you can do in a Bosch.

And of course, don’t forget that you could enter to win one of these amazing machines through March 15th on my blog. Click HERE for more information!

See how you can make mashed potatoes in a Bosch as well!

If you missed the last video on SHREDDING chicken in a Bosch you can watch it below-you’ll be entirely AMAZED!

  1. I put my Bosch Universal Plus on layaway last week at the Bosch Kitchen store in Orem. I can’t wait to have it in my kitchen!!! I currently have a Kitchen Aid mixer, and it worked really well until I started making whole wheat bread. The first time I made a double batch of your EZ WW bread and it worked ok till I got to about 5 minutes of kneading, then the mixer started to have a really bad smell and got super hot on the top. I turned it off and waited for a while, but pushed through to knead the full 8 minutes. The second time I made a double batch, at around 3 minutes of kneading my mixer started to get hot, smell horrible and then it started to SMOKE! I was shocked. I had made double batches of regular white rolls, cookies, muffins… you name it I did it in this mixer. Now, I am reduced to making one loaf of WW bread at a time and, for my family of 6, this is very time consuming not to mention inconvenient.
I went into the Bosch store for the first time last week, looking for something completely unrelated (popcorn). I told my husband if they had a layaway program I was going to put a mixer and some accessories on layaway. Low and behold, they did! I am so excited to have my new mixer, I am thinking of paying it off early… I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that I am only going to be able to make one loaf of bread at a time for the next two months. 🙁
Anyway, thank you so much for your informative posts. I really enjoy the videos and am grateful that you and your website, as wells as the deals to meals website, have fostered my growing love for food storage. Thank you for all the work you put into it all!

  2. o.k. so I bought my Bosch, and now I’m thoroughly confused as to why I bought the cookie paddles, since they really don’t seem to be necessary. Can you find out and let me (us) know?

    1. Bob said that the cookie paddles work best for a single or double batch. If
you’re doing more than that then do his trick.

  3. Crystal,
I already own this awesome machine and my kids even bought me the cookie paddles last Christmas. No one ever told me that I could just use my dough hook!! It works even better than the paddles! Thanks so much!

  4. Ha! I never knew that you “couldn’t make cookies in a Bosch. We’ve been doing it since I was a child using the dough hook on my mom’s machine and now i have one of my own!

  5. Bet you could make about 14 loaves of your EZ bread in a Bosch mixer. Now that is huge! So one would only have to bake bread about every two weeks depending how many little ones living in the house.

  6. I had the best time shredding our beef roast in the mixer the other day. I was trying to think of some other fun things to shred. 😀 I guess it’s cheap entertainment. LOL Thank you for your blog and youtube channel. I have learned so much.

  7. I just want to thank you for sharing this. I tried it and made the best shredded chicken for bbq sandwiches.

    1. Yeah! It is one of the best kept secrets of a Bosch!
