If you don’t have dehydrated potato shreds, you have to get them!  They make amazing hash browns or my favorite funeral potatoes (or cheesy potatoes or whatever your family calls them).  There is nothing more ridiculous than peeling and shredding potatoes.  Especially when using dehydrated potato shreds is as easy as throwing them in some cold water and waiting for them to hydrate.  It’s important to note that these shreds will at least double in size, if not triple in size once hydrated.  I use them all the time to save me time in the kitchen (The meal shown above didn’t take more than 30 minutes to prepare–pretty nice, huh?)

  1. I love my Foodsaver Vacuum Sealer. I use both the bags (mostly for freezer storage) and the mason jar attachments. Did you know they now have..I think it is 1/2 or 1 gallon mason jars. I put my excess flour (after it has spend time in the refrigerator) and sugar in them.

    1. We use our Vacuum Sealers for LOTS of things, including packing ammo!
We have used the larger jars before also.
      Thanks for the tips.
