WATCH NOW CLASS

We are excited to present for your enjoyment and edification, Food Storage on a Diet! Why this topic? Well, it is January, and with the start of all new years we think about starting fresh; a new beginning if you will to make changes and improvements in our lives. We want 2016 to be your best year ever, and we hope that includes food storage!

So to start out the year, Crystal is going to be showing you three great ways to not only improve your health and lose weight, but to do it using food storage to make mouth watering foods for breakfast, main meals and even snacks and desserts.

We would appreciate it, if you like what you see, to please “share” it with your friends and family, after all we want them to be healthy and feel the peace of preparedness too right? So without further adieu, let’s get started!

IDEAS FOR TEACHING OTHERS:

We hope this class has inspired you to get a little more prepared and to use more of your food storage. As we see it, one of the greatest reasons to have a food storage is ultimately to be able to help others. We are put here to make the world a better place and so we encourage you to give back by teaching neighbors, friends and communities what you have learned. So please feel free to use our handouts or any of our ideas as you teach others and get them excited about being prepared.  Here are a few ideas to get you started.

  1. Get friends together to one (or all) of these items at your house.
  2. Pass along our handouts of instructions to make these three items.
  3. Show how to make one of these at the beginning of one of your church gatherings.  It only takes 5 minutes.
  4. Share the link to this class on Facebook or through E-mail.

Be sure to download the handout before you leave!

  1. I just ordered your new book. I am so excited to try beans to replace the fat in recipes. Do you know how the substitution changes the calorie count in each recipe?

    1. Hi Cathy,
It would be the difference in the fat calories minus the bean calories.
You should be able to tell that from the sides of the original container.
      Sincerely,
      Debbie and Crystal

  2. Well that was fun and very informative. Thank you for the clarifications and clear directions. I can’t wait to try these recipes, fortunately I have everything on hand. Well done.

  3. Crystal, I just had to thank you for all you have done to teach me how to make *delicious* bread (after all of the recipes I’ve tried since, EZ Bread in the Sun Oven is still my husband’s favorite!), to use food storage in a *tasty and satisfying* way, and to *enjoy* eating healthier! Your new handouts are excellent, as are your relaxed videos that make all of this seem so doable. I just made your Meals in a Jar Brownies (best homemade I’ve had), Zuppa Toscana, and Tomato Basil Tortellini. It feels so good having homemade, “just-add-water” meals ready to go! Sincerely, “Thank you!”

    1. Jennifer,
Thank you so much for your kind comments. It means a lot to us when we see we really are making a difference. I am glad, you and your husband are enjoying the EZ Bread. It is for sure my family’s favorite sandwich bread. I am so glad you like the new recipes too. If you ever have any suggestions, please send them our way.
      Sincerely,
      Crystal Godfrey

  4. I made these for my family last night and everyone liked them. Well, at least the one who usually doesn’t like my “fake” sloppy joes and always asks for meat ones on his birthday didn’t say anything negative and I noticed he had seconds. Everyone else liked them, though, so this will be one I make a lot. I even made another double batch of sauce to freeze and then I made up 4 double packets of dry ingredients to make it go even faster next time. I did add 1/2 cup of water to a batch because it seemed much too thick to me without it. Thanks for a great recipe! I’ve been looking for a good “fake” sloppy joes recipe for a long time.

    1. We are glad you like them as much as we did. And kuddos to you for the freezer meal and spice packets.
