Okay, so time for my most frequently asked question for Belinda. How can I make gardening fun for my kids? If you’ve asked yourself this question-you’re not alone! Gardening is great for kids-it teaches them work, responsibility, how to care for living things, and how to eat healthier. However, it can be hard for kids to have fun while they are learning all of that-which is pretty much all they care about, right? Well Belinda with Home Gardens to Go is back to share some great ideas on how to get kids involved and enjoying gardening….oh yeah and we have a fun little giveaway AND SALE as well.  I have to make it fun for you too, right?

MAKING GARDENING FUN FOR KIDS

Number one: Give them a little space to call their own!  Belinda has great 2×4 boxes perfect for little kids (the smaller size helps them be able to reach everything in the garden!)  To see Belinda’s kid boxes, click HERE (and don’t forget to use the code ST9GN17261G6F to get 20% off your kid boxes, this weekend only!).  I got one for each of my kids (see those cute kids in the picture above…yeah those are mine…and they LOVE playing in their garden-especially now that their plants are popping up!)

met here for the gardening give away for the kids, hope this is okay, My grandaughter live in Alaska and have a short growing season but their mother is trying hard to enstill the love of gardening and I think the smaller square beds is a great idea. 17. How awesome is this–I already square foot garden, but need to review these tips to do better. My kids already love helping with the gardening–but this would just take the cake for them! Love it!

  18. My kids love to play in the dirt and have asked if we can have a garden (our backyard is all weeds, so we rarely go back there). They would love to have their own tools…and I guess I would then have to have at least a small garden. 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!!

  19. What a brilliant idea to have a kid box! Our nearly-three-year-old planted some pumpkins seeds and loved taking care of them…until we went on vacation and they, um, became compost. But she loves working in the garden. We’ll definitely be looking into getting a kid box just for her!

  20. I’ve loved learning more about SFG. My little boy waters our planters everyday and we’re excited to have some garden boxes built soon. A little kit for him to have for his own would be great!
PS I got my sun oven and I LOVE it! I made my EZ wheat bread in it this week. Thanks so much for all the wonderful information. It has made using food storage for our family so easy!
