I know a lot of people are getting worried with a lot of news time being dedicated to the Swine Flu. It can seem scary and full of panic to watch what they are saying on the news but there is no need to panic! These type of scenarios are a good time to evaluate where we are with our preparedness both food storage and emergency. I would suggest to use this as a good warning to get our houses in order since we won’t always have the news to warn us when something is coming. But remember, it doesn’t have to be done all at once! PLEASE Don’t Panic! The church has a GREAT information about how to prepare for a pandemic, please read it over and prepare for anything that may happen soon or not so soon because after all, if ye are prepared, ye shall not fear! It is a wonderful blessing from the Lord and I the same blessing for you and your family! I know I’ll be spending the next couple of days re-evaluating what I have on stock and how prepared I am.

I use these times to do as you said, evaluate where I am with my preparedness.
I certainly am farther ahead then I was a year ago. But still have a ways to go.

Thank you for posting this. I have not read this on the Church’s website before, but I did read it today! Your post brought about the continuation of a beautiful conversation my husband and I have been sharing since our preparations really got underway. We have MUCH less fear now!
