I love this book. It makes cooking from my food storage very simple. I love that the author gives step by step instructions on how to use things like powdered milk, beans, and wheat. I have already used many of the recipes from the book, and my family loved the meals! The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have already found many typos in recipes. For example: a rice pudding recipe says to use 3 cups of sugar! Because I have made rice pudding before, I knew not to use that much sugar. It should probably be more like half a cup. Another example: a recipe for a Hawaiian cake calls for 3 cups of oil! I believe it should be 1/3 cup of oil. There are more mistakes like this. It makes me nervous to trust the recipes. However, I still LOVE this book! I highly recommend it, but am hoping another edition is released soon with the mistakes corrected.

I borrowed it from my local Library. It was brought to me from a little Library in Norther MInnesota about 3 hours away. Invaluable book that brings purpose and clarity to the basic aim of good storage: sensible food that we eat and we store in abundance so we can continue to do so during times of scarcity! Is not for doomsday people, it is designed for sensible and responsible adults who wish to be prepared. Amazing job….
