I know what you’re thinking-“WHAT ABOUT MY WIRE BEATERS?! Won’t that ruin them?!” If you thought a Bosch couldn’t (or shouldn’t) make mashed potatoes-THINK AGAIN! (My mom falls in this category. When she saw me trying to use her Bosch over Christmas to make mashed potatoes-with skins on, she almost had a heart attack! At the time I thought I was lucky I didn’t ruin her beaters…turns out it wasn’t all that much luck because it’s entirely doable!) A Bosch will mash potatoes in under 30 seconds and make the creamiest, lightest, and fluffiest potatoes around! Bob from www.mykitchencenter.com showed me and they were delicious. It’s AMAZING!

  1. I’ve been making mashed potatoes in my kitchen aid for years. I’m still not sold on the whole Bosch thing but glad to know if I ever do make the switch I can still make my mashed potatoes quick and without all the elbow grease!

  2. Crystal, I know the odds are that I am not going to win this Bosch. I would love to, but I’m realistic. So that leads me to my natural next question:

    Can you shred chicken and mash potatoes in a good old KitchenAid mixer? Mine is not the lighter size, but not the commercial size, either. Basically a big consumer mixer.

    1. Shredding chicken needs the two beaters, however I know you can mix mashed
      potatoes in a Kitchen Aid because I have a Kitchen Aid as well-and I can’t
      even enter to win my own drawing! BUMMER! I do dream of Boschs because
      they last forever. Everyone has a story of a mother or grandmother who has
      had their Bosch for 30+ years with out the motor burning out. I’ve actually
      had my Kitchen Aid turn off in the middle of making bread because the motor
      over heated-YIKES!
