For all of you going to parties tomorrow (or hosting one) I’ve made a video to show you how easy it is to make your own cheese ball (and inexpensive…they sell for $5! at least at the stores) and of course I’ve incorporated some food storage. You can also use this same trick to make your own “Garden Variety” cream cheese for bagels and spreads.

I’ve always wanted to try making a cheese ball, and you just convinced me that it’s easy enough to attempt! This looks so yummy, I’m off to the store to purchase some cream cheese so I can make a couple balls for my New Year’s Eve party tonight. Thanks so much for the video!!

My 12 month old enjoyed the video more than me…she was yelling at you along with your little one there at the end. I laughed pretty hard. I am going to have to try making a cheese ball. I haven’t done one since, hmmm we won’t give years, but it was back in my high school days with my mom. She also likes to make a salmon/cream cheese ball and roll it in parsley. People were always afraid of it, until they tasted it. This veggie cheese ball reminded me of that.

This recipe looks really yummy. I always do the recipe my oldest sister always made…but I think I am going to try this one this year. Great ideas…one of my goals is to be better at actually eating our food storage this year. I’ll be checking back often. Thanks for all of your work – you have really helped me, I appreciate your time and effort. (Oh, my french husband says it is pronounced “noof sha tell.”

Hi Crystal! I used to follow your blog until you moved and I forgot to update my blog reader!! Bummer. But now I’m having a great time catching up.
The cheeseball looks great! I’ll have to give it a whirl (hardy hard har). Here’s a tip though— Make your own food storage crackers! I think I may have sent you my recipe a long time ago. If you need it again, let me know because they are GOOD. My friend even said the other day that she was craving my crackers. Who knew food storage could be so tasty?
