Solar ovens are so exciting! Obviously, the are great to use when you don’t want to heat up your kitchen but you can also use them in the winter! All you need is sun-so no more thinking to yourself that only those lucky ducks in Arizona can benefit from these. Plus, I don’t know if you knew this, but you also can’t burn or dry out your food in a Sun Oven (isn’t that a nice thought!) Also, when you purchase a Sun Oven you are also helping 3rd world deforested countries to get a way to cook their food. In these countries, women can walk for miles (which is highly unsafe for them) just to get a little fuel to cook dinner for their families. After doing all the research and seeing the good in the world these Sun Ovens can do, I’ve decided not only to buy one but to become a dealer.

America’s Test Kitchen Weighs in on Solar Ovens
Can't wait to see recipes! Great topic and there is a great blog called solarovenchef.blogspot.com and she is cooking everyday for a year with her sun oven. I have learned some great tips from her. (and the sun oven does weight 21lbs) You said in the video less than 10lbs and underneath the video was a description of the sun oven with the weight. Just so people know it does weigh a little more so they aren't surprised when they get it. I made baked potatoes and apple crisp this weekend in my sun oven and I love it more and more every time I use it. You do a great job and I love the video classes.
lol…I saw that. I guess I don't know my own strength! I was honestly
surprised to see it weighed so much because it really didn't feel that
heavy. I guess that is what you get for caring a toddler around all of the
time.
