Living Amongst the Rubble

When catastrophes happen, life changes. It could be weeks, months or longer before life returns to “normal”. If you are still able to remain at your home, you may not have water or electricity for an extended period of time. How will you manage? Your 3 days of food and water are long gone, but no stores have opened. You do have some canned food, but no way to heat it up. Yum, cold canned food! What if your toilet doesn’t work? Your clothes, dishes and body’s will need to be washed and dried.  You will want light to eat and maybe play games by and you will need a way to keep warm (or cool). How will you take care of these basic needs? There are two other areas that should be mentioned: clean-up and boredom (kids especially. Planning and gathering supplies now will make the “FIRST  THREE WEEKS” more like an extended vacation, than the miserable, trying time that it could be.

Planning and gathering supplies now will make the FIRST  THREE WEEKS a breeze as you Live Amongst the Rubble. What kind of supplies are we talking about?

  • Sanitation needs
  • Food and water
  • Cooking supplies
  • Lighting, heating and fuel
  • Tools
  • Activities and Routine
