Who doesn’t love a delicious Orange Julius? I may be dating myself, but remember how these were all the rage in the 80’s? The ultimate mall drink! It’s sweet, frothy, and full of orange flavor. I recently found an old recipe for at-home Orange Julius drinks in a family cookbook and was amazed at how perfectly it is suited for food storage. Not only does it call for milk (who ever would have thought that mixing milk with oranges would taste so good?!) but it also calls for an egg. WHAT?! That’s right, all of those old school recipes used to call for putting an egg in the drink. We’re obviously not going to do that….something about that just seems…..seems……so wrong! I used powdered egg whites instead. If you don’t have powdered egg whites you can just leave it out, but that is the secret to an Orange Julius froth.
