Crystal, This is my first time writing in. But I just wanted to say thank you SO much for all of you wonderful tips and recipes. Your video clips are very helpful and I am learning TONS from you!! I have devoured your cookbook and have told so many people about your website. In fact, I just finished making a carrot cake that I found on your blog. (we are sharing it with family tonight for Christmas Eve). I LOVE food storage and feel very passionate about it as well. I thought I knew a lot until I met you! You are amazing and truly have been a source of inspiration to me. Thank you for all you do!! Koni (ps, I also made the whole wheat chocolate chip cookies last week and they were my all time favorite cookie ever!!!)
I am exctied to learn more about solar cooking!! I got a Sunoven for Christmas and have tried it. I just hope an emergency happens in the warmer weather. I have to cook from 10-3:00 as after that there is no more usable sun. I also could only get the temp to reach 250 degrees. Great for slow cooking, but there isn't a lot of sun to have that all day cooked dinner. Anyway I would love to know what you learn and I am excited to cook more in my Sunoven.
I just found your blog! I think this might be my new favorite blog. My parents just moved cross country so I inherited lots of food storage – about 40 large buckets and I haven't counted the cans maybe 40 cans.
