I wanted to drop a quick note and thank you. I am a stay-at-home Mom and a food storage specialist by calling and inclination. It amazes me when I hear the same excuses about food storage…which in my mind are just excuses! I think at the core the excuses are a mask for lack of knowledge and/or courage. I think you do a great job of making the whole food storage scene seem less intimidating. Thanks! I hope this is good for you too!
Thank you!
I have a question about storing food in food safe buckets. We are using PETE safe buckets with oxygen absorbers, but not using Mylar bags inside the buckets. Our buckets are stored in a dry storage room that is usually dark and about 65 degrees. Is this ok, or do I need to add the Mylar bags?
I would check with the Utah State Extension office. You can visit their
website at http://www.extension.usu.edu
