Alright, one more Father’s Day recipes you’re sure to enjoy as much as the fathers in your life! My husband really loves rolls so I try and make them for him every Sunday but I get tired of the same rolls every week. I remembered how much we loved the Texas Roadhouse rolls, so I thought I’d surprise him by making him some and some of that yummy cinnamon honey butter to go along with it. The funny thing is that my son loved it so much that he’s been begging to make the honey rolls again. It turns out he really likes fresh honey!
And, I have to admit that rolls made with honey to have a much better flavor. So my only fail, which isn’t really a fail, but it is real life, is that it got CLOUDY! Who would have guessed that happens in Arizona! So the oven wasn’t hot enough to bake the rolls in the amount of time I needed (note to self, don’t be in a hurry when cooking with the Sun Oven) but it was the perfect temperature to quickly rise the rolls. You’ve got to be flexible, you know? In the end, it worked out great and I look forward to trying these again and baking them in the Sun Oven. But it’s good to know that the Sun Oven can be a GREAT way to rise dough quickly.
