You asked for it and you’re getting it! The Wonderful World of Bread will begin March 9th and last through the end of the month. There will be recipes, pictures, and of course how-to videos to make it even easier for you! It is going to be awesome and by the end of the month you’ll be a bread expert! We’ll be covering things like…

1. What is the deal with Gluten and Dough Enhancers
2. Answering a fanatic challenge: making homemade bread that tastes just like store bought bread (and of course my food storage recipe for store bought bread contains a lot of food storage!) ingredients!)
3. Bread (type items) from other countries (i.e. tortillas, pitas, etc.)
4. Sweet Breads
5. Sour Dough Starters
6. AND MORE…SO MUCH MORE!

You won’t want to miss one post!

  15. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU – this is something that I so want to learn! When you do your posts will you mention what size kitchen aid/bosch the dough will fit in because I have found that many bread recipes don’t fit in the 5 qt (but I learn that the hard way and my husband is sometimes nice enough to clean up the huge mess)…?

  24. Can’t wait! Bread is the biggest challenge I have in cooking and baking. I just can’t seem to produce a good loaf. They always smell and taste like raw yeast. I’m looking forward to your ideas and wisdom.:)

Crystal, do you ever sleep girl?! I sure do appreciate you!

  29. I tasted some of Crystal’s bread and cinnamon buns and OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! We are all in for some great stuff this month. YAY! My 4-year old son even took two handfuls of food to eat in the car on the way home because he loved it so much. Who would have thought whole wheat bread could be a TREAT?

  31. I make bread every week, it is very cost effective. You probally already have everything planned out that you are going to share, but… If I can make a request for some recipes without wheat flour or a white flour conversion chart. I have Crohns disease and can’t have all or 1/2 wheat bread, but i can still do the white bread. I love your site and I am way excited to see your tips! thanks!

  33. Maybe something about converting recipes for use in a beard machine, for us single dads out there.

That would be a great help for us, namely my daughter, making the bread is her job.

    Keep up the good work.

  47. I am excited for this. I have been making bread for over 30 years, but I think we can all still learn from others. I can’t wait. I love your site.

  49. I started making my own bread about a year ago, and thankfully I was given the advice to use wheat gluten. I have never had a problem with my bread and it is SO YUMMY. I’m just wondering how much gluten you recommend for long term food storage. Jodi or Julie? I’ve never seen any recommendations on this. I’m assuming it has the same shelf life as flour.
