  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Yields: 4 cups

Ingredients

3 cans (15.5 ounce) diced tomatoes

2 tsp. cumin

2 tsp. garlic powder or 2 gloves garlic minced

1-2 hot peppers or 1 can (4 ounce) green chiles or diced jalapeños

salt to taste

1/2 tsp. sugar

1/2 cup onion diced (or 2 Tbsp. dehydrated onion)

1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar optional

1/2 bunch cilantro

cayenne pepper if you want it spicier

Directions

1In a blender, combine 2 cans of tomatoes, cumin, garlic, hot peppers, salt, sugar, and onion. Pulse in blender a few times until mixed.  Add last can of tomatoes and cilantro and pulse a few more times.  Taste and add in a little cayenne pepper as desired to achieve preferred hot taste.
